Visiting family in VA for the weekend. No animations yet, but they will come soon. Took some photos of my friend Mantas. Now he is famous. This is all I really have that I want to put out the effort for.

Parallax, Bone Chatter, and menial fame
Parallax, my semester-long project for my Animation 3 class, is finally finished. Actually, I finished it weeks ago, but I have been busy and tired, so I haven't yet posted it on here. Here it is!
The sound is iffy. If you are watching it, use headphones. The music is all in a very low register, and I have to figure out how to bring up the levels without blowing out the speakers. Beyond my knowledge, for now.
In spite of that major flaw, it won third prize in SMFA's Film and Animation Annual, which was screened at the MFA, Boston.
It was also just accepted into the Glovebox Short Film and Animation Festival in Somerville, MA. That is June 11 at the Somerville Theater, for those of you in Boston. Also, they are sponsored by dig Boston. They gave to me, I give back.
Also accepted (without my knowledge) to glovebox was an animation my roommate and I did last semester in class. It's called Bone Chatter. She submitted it in December and never told me. Awesome! Check it:
Parallax is getting submitted to more. You will be updated without consent. That is all.

Explainings:
I know I started this blog (again) saying that I would post frequently as to provide your menial lives with a dose of novice-to-average-quality culture from the constant purging of my creative mind. I haven't really done that, though.
Here at SMFA, our finals are actually panels of faculty and students that we present our semesters work to in order to get credit. That season has started and I am going crazy. The next month is going to be me rushing to get more work produced that I have so-far this spring. A rough-cut of my animation is due on Thursday of this week, and I haven't actually finished the animating, yet.
In any case, there isn't going to be a lot of new art to post on here. And if there is new art, I might not be able to find the time to actually post it.
I feel like I should have some new art to show as some kind of excuse, but I don't. Here's some old art instead:

Sketchbook Day 1 - Poopy Doodles
I stopped drawing for a really long time, but I picked it up again today. I got a new sketchbook and everything. The drawings started off horrible and got a little better by the time I was finished.
This is not all of them! Crazy, I know. Look at the rest right here.

More Animation Stuff - Black Goop
I've been working on this clip for the past 3 days. It's given me trouble, and I think I need to redo the middle because it is too fast/I hate it.
New Photos - New York
Some new photos up on Flickr from a day trip I took to New York in February. It rained.
When I was editing these photos, I realized how long it's been since I have edited for the screen on not for print. It was a different experience. Also, a lot quicker. I did not like it. From now on, you'll be getting the print versions online. Check out the whole set here.

Working on Animation
In my Animation 3 class, we work on one project the entire semester. I'm doing a piece that looks like this, but much longer:
It is spring break and I will be animating mostly non-stop. April 13 or something is my deadline.
